Messages from Pele
Months ago, I set a date to honor Pele at Volcano National Park. November 22, 2025 felt like the perfect day. I booked a night at Volcano House. We would be on The Big Island of Hawaii, and I knew I was being called — whether my family chose to come with me or not. I had no expectation that I may be going to witness Pele, the Goddess of Fire, erupting.
As the day drew near, I began receiving breadcrumbs and intuitive nudges guiding the path with a deeper knowing. The timing of this calling is interesting — 2025, a 9 year in Numerology, a year of fire that illuminates and refines. This energy has been felt around the world. Pele tuned into it as well, her presence steadily emerging since December 12, 2024. My intuition tells me she will begin to wane as we move into a 10/1 year — an offering of water, a year of new beginnings.
My husband and I decided to go, leaving our children on the beach on the north side of the island. Driving up Saddle Road, we had a beautiful conversation, and I sat peacefully in gratitude. Feeling the energy deeply, I was stunned when a pueo flew in front of our window, gliding gently to my right in the early afternoon sun. There was open space around us, and this beautiful owl made itself known — wings open, round head, guiding the way as it slowed down floating to my right.
Another breadcrumb. Owls always show up for me, anchoring divine messages.
We continued climbing in elevation, clouds and rain circling us. I hadn’t really looked at where we were going or what I wanted to do once there. My only knowing was that I was bringing an offering of gratitude to Pele. After finding a parking spot, we made our way to the Kīlauea Iki Trail. Immediately, I tuned into the peace of the land and the birds elevating the codes through their song. The warmth of the sun emerged behind the mist as we walked through the lush forest surrounding the wide crater. Descending to the bottom, the vast lava flow opened before us, and I felt a rush of excitement. A nearby family felt it too — taking pictures, jumping with joy. We played with them for a moment before parting ways.
Soon, we realized we were the only ones in the crater — everyone else had dissipated. Walking across, I tuned into the energy. It was fascinating to feel the heat rising beneath my palms and the air moving over the tops of my hands. The shift was palpable. Reaching the far side of the crater, I felt the rush of wind being pulled through the trees, a sweet, steamy fragrance emerging. I couldn’t stop breathing it in — a divine floral scent.
We continued our heart-led path, eventually arriving at an open space where steam vents poured through the earth in abundance. A little girl squealed with excitement as soon as she spotted a flash of red in the distance — lava peeking through the steam.
That same excitement carried into the afternoon and evening as people gathered with cameras, in awe, watching Pele dance in her creation. Love billowed out of the fiery red substance as we watched in wonder. Evening fell, illuminating her offering — love in action — the essence of creation. My gratitude overflowed. She danced through the night and into the morning, her passion spilling over.
In the morning, we found our way back down to the crater — now eye level with the eruption — we made our offering of gratitude to God and Pele as we witnessed and felt the Goddess of Creation spilling over with love. We thanked her presence and the deep love that generated from the land we enjoy so much. The ocean had gifted me a heart-shaped piece of coral with a small divot in the middle. I left it as an offering to Pele, placing it gently on a lava pile facing the eruption while offering deep thanks.
The day before, while standing in the center of the crater, I had asked my brother-in-law on the other side for a sign. He crossed over four years ago, and when I’ve asked in the past, he has sent the most brilliant and unique rainbows. That day was misty and cloudy, yet I asked anyway: If you can pull any strings, please give me a rainbow over the volcano.
Ask, and you shall receive.
That morning, we watched the sun rise, shining its light onto the mountain, and soon after resurfacing back to the view point from our ceremony, a rainbow graced the crater from the right-hand side — a perfect blend of earth’s creation and divine light from above. Thank you. 🙏🏼🌈
An hour later, we found ourselves on the cliffs where the 2018 lava spilled over the road into the sea. I am not a scientist, yet I feel so clear that science and spirituality are weaving together in this new era. I was blown away by the deeply rich, dark lava — its spirals, its patterns. And what stood out most were the rainbows of color scattered throughout this meeting point of land and sea.
.
Intuitively, I knew that all the elements worked together to create this phenomenon — the divine order of fire, earth, water, air, and space crystallizing a spectrum of light into perfect rainbow patterns at the cliff’s edge. Dark lava spread across the land, its cracks illuminated with brilliant colors.
I know that true healing emerges when cracks are blessed. And many of these cracks glowed in rainbow hues.
To me, it was a clear sign that heaven is on Earth — and all we need to do is tune in. The divine light of a rainbow is not only a message from above; it exists within each one of us.
As above, so below.
We each hold a perfect rainbow — an inner antenna spanning our chakras — each color present. The spectrum beams from the crown above us, down through the body, to the root anchoring us into Earth. When in alignment, we radiate peace by activating and clearing each chakra so they illuminate a unified, divine rainbow light from within.
May we tune into this inner Light, to feel the perfect balance of love and truth — masculine and feminine — a harmony of the realized state available in this world.
Sitting on the edge of the lava-formed cliff, we looked up at a cloud revealing the divine unity of two beings coming together as one offering.
Everything is possible, and the time is now. Let’s activate our light and come together in unity as we move toward new beinngings. 🌈
Thank you, Pele, for your fire and deep love that continues to create. Thank you for showing us your passion. Thank you for showing us how to heal cracks by illuminating them with rainbow hues. Thank you for revealing opportunities for healing by tuning into the image of God that lies within each of us — the rainbow light within our being. We, too, can be the blessing that heals and restores balance in this world.
